An Unexpected Journey to my bank manager

Well Games Workshop are at it again.  Selling us overpriced products that we will mumble and grumble about, make snide comment and then cave in and buy them.

This time it is The Hobbit (hitting our screens on 14th December), a licence they picked up as they have good form for miniaturising the Middle Earth franchise (having already done the Lord of the Rings).

This fresh line of miniatures based on the Hobbit film, has, at its core, a new rule book  (only a mere £50)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Strategy Battle Game is the tabletop game for two or more players that enables you to recreate the thrilling events of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with your collection of Citadel miniatures. This 288-page full-colour hardback rules manual contains all the information you need to begin your adventures in Middle-earth and unleash the heroes of Thorin's Company and their dreaded foes on the tabletop. This manual includes: full rules for playing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with your friends; ideas for beginning your collection; seven exciting scenarios recreating the events of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey as well as more taken from the history of Middle-earth, such as the attack at Weathertop; details on fighting Points Match games; and a gallery of Middle-earth, showcasing gloriously painted Citadel Miniatures.
Check out all they have available for the launch this weekend.

Will you be buying?
