Lets all go to Q-Con :)

Well its that time of year again, yup Q-Con.

We (Andy and Ivor) have been going to Q-Con for longer than we wish to remember, in many various guises.  This year, as Wee Gamers, we are concentrating on putting on a few demos for people to enjoy, most notably Mantic Games' Kings of War and Warlord Games' Hail Caesar.  So do drop by and say hello.

And if you have never been......

Q-Con is the annual Gaming & Anime Convention hosted by QUB Dragonslayers, the Queen’s University Belfast Gaming and Anime Society.  Last year’s event Q-Con XVIII (24th - 26th June 2011) had over 1800 attendees over the weekend

Q-Con is a full weekend of gaming with Consoles, LARPs, TCGs, RPGs, Boardgames and Wargames.  There are anime themed events with Screenings, quizzes, Cosplay and Workshops. Q-Con crams all the entertainment you could ever want into 3 days of nerdy bliss.

Normally it all takes place in the Students Union but this year Q-Con is also taking over the Elmwood Hall next door.

This will also be the second year of Q-ED, a series of talks, workshops and panels throughout the Q-Con weekend, presented by professional and semi-pro artists and games designers.

We shall definitely be looking forward to some of the Q-ED talks and having a look at some of the wargaming (40k, Warhammer, Infinity and Warmachine tournaments).  We will hopefully have lots of photos and interviews from the weekend and a bit of a round up.

You can also keep up to date with Q-Con on Twitter and Facebook.
